NIH Roorkee Hosts Key IAHS Scientific Assembly 2025 Coordination Meeting

A strategic meeting was held at the National Institute of Hydrology (NIH), Roorkee, chaired by Dr. Goel, Director NIH, and led by Prof. Sumit Sen, Chairperson of IAHS 2025 Scientific Assembly. The meeting brought together local organizing committee members and NIH scientists to assess progress and plan key aspects of IAHS 2025, scheduled for October in Roorkee. Discussions included updates on the scientific program, prominent lectures, thematic sessions, and side events, with local coordinators assigned for smooth execution. Ideas on the social and cultural event were requested including to be included in the Scientific Program to enrich delegate experiences. Guidelines for oral and poster presentations shall be finalized to ensure quality and homogeneity in the program. Additional discussion topics included volunteer mobilization for specific tasks, sponsorship updates, international coordination, and travel logistics. The meeting concluded with renewed focus and commitment toward delivering a globally impactful and well-coordinated IAHS 2025 Scientific Assembly.
